Charlie Brown is searching for the true meaning of Christmas. What will we search for this holiday? If we only search for God in the whirlwinds, lights and noises of the season we will miss him. We need to quiet our hearts to get ready for Jesus’ birth. Celebrate 50 years of the classic story, A Charlie Brown Christmas.

  • Living the Life of Gratitude – Lingering with God | Sermon from 11/22/2015

Living the Life of Gratitude - lingering with God-web

This month we have been using the Psalms of Ascent to teach us about giving thanks and no journey of gratitude is complete without setting aside time to reflect and say thank you. If we don’t slow down we can’t see all the blessings of life. If we don’t slow down we can’t hear the voice of God and God’s message of love and grace. If we don’t slow down we simply can’t give thanks and so we need to learn how to linger and there is no better place than to linger with God. Linger with God so that our hearts and lives are prepared for a true Thanks-giving.

We continue our journey to Thanksgiving and to giving thanks using the Psalms of the Ascent as our guide.

  • Living the Life of Gratitude – Listen to Others | Sermon from 11/1/2015

Living the Life of Gratitude - listening to others-web

    Living the Life of Gratitude
This week we begin a new series on gratitude taken from a series of psalms known as the Psalms of the Ascent (Psalms 120-134). These psalms were used by the people of God as they traveled to Jerusalem three times a year to give thanks and worship God. Within these psalms are lessons for us on how to become more grateful. This week we learn the value of listening to others and how this practice can help us appreciate all that God is doing in our lives and in our world. Join us as we make our own journey to Thanksgiving and learn how to live our own life of gratitude. This week we will explore Psalm 122 and 133.
