    light and life (1)-web

On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus as the King. Jesus rode into Jerusalem to the shouts of praise by the people who waved palm branches as signs of victory. Jesus was coming to be the king, but how he would take the throne would be quite different than what the people expected. Instead of ruling over people in power Jesus served people in love. Instead of defeating the Romans and displacing the Religious Leaders, Jesus defeated sin and death. Instead of taking a seat on a golden throne Jesus laid himself down on a wooden cross. Yes, Jesus came to be King, but his kingdom and reign would look very different. Please join us as we begin Holy Week with the reminder that Jesus is the King!
