    This week we see that the focus of the Apostles’ Creed is not on guilt but grace. It doesn’t point out that we are sinners but instead assures us that we are forgiven. While the forgiveness of sin does imply that we are sinners, the focus is not on our failure but God’s love. Forgiveness of sin was the core of Jesus ministry and teaching and it is what helps hold us together as the church.
