The Sierra Leone Initiative
The Sierra Leone Initiative was created, a relationship between the United Methodist Churches of the Susquehanna Conference and the churches, pastors and congregations of Sierra Leone, following over a decade of civil war that left the country in widespread poverty.
Here at Faith Church, our sister church is the Mango Brown Church located in PaLoko, close to the capitol of Freetown. To date, we have helped raise money to build a parsonage for the local pastor at PaLoko, so that the ministry of this congregation may grow and can closer serve the people of this community. One of the upcoming goals for Faith Church is to aid in the building and development of the United Methodist Univeristy in PaLoko.

Serving our Children and Youth
Building relationships with our children and youth is both rewarding and fun. We believe God deeply loves each child in every family and we are excited to create an environment where children are nurtured, loved and taught. These ministries include Nursery Care, Children’s Church, Sunday School, Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, and much more.

Serving through Hospitality
The Sunday morning hospitality team is a group of people who, out of their genuine love of Christ and others, take initiative to invite, welcome, include and support newcomers and help them connect and grow in faith. They serve as door greeters, help answer questions at the Connection Table, make and serve coffee and snacks in the lobby, and usher. These people are often the first smile and hello our guests receive when walking in our door. They truly make Faith Church feel like home on Sunday mornings.

Serving through Visitation
The Visitation Ministry Team is a group of volunteers who enjoy connecting, serving, and growing relationships with those who are unable to participate in the full life of Faith Church. This ministry includes weekly delivery of bulletins and CDs of the worship service as well as home communion after the first Sunday of each month. And the primary focus of the ministry is simply helping folks continue to feel part of the Faith Church and offer Christian companionship.
