Your children are invited to be part of a fun and engaging time on Sunday mornings at Faith Church. Faith Church is committed to spiritually based and age-appropriate Christian education that includes Nursery, Sunday School, and Children’s Church. As your child begins their Christian education with us, we ask that you fill out a registration form. The information we receive aids staff in caring for your child in a safe and attentive manner. Please register your child for Nursery or Children’s Church in the lobby, before worship begins. Each child who participates in Nursery or Children’s Church receives a printed name tag to ensure his/her group, location, and potential special needs or food allergies.
Children’s Sunday School Hour
Children’s Sunday School meets year round from 9:30am-10:30am. We are currently using Group’s Hands-On Bible curriculum. Jesus used everyday objects – a mustard seed, a fig tree, a lost coin – to teach his disciples the truths that would change the world. We teach children using fun surprises that children can touch, see, and smell to relate eternal truths they won’t forget. See LeAnn Showers at the Children’s Check-In station, in the sanctuary lobby, for current class locations.
Children’s Choir, for ages 4 and up, meets weekly Sunday mornings at 9:30am in Room 51. (in July, the choir takes a break) They sing, ring chimes, learn sign language, share devotions and offer music in worship monthly. The director is Leah Guizar.
Gyro Bells, for grade 4 and up, rehearses seasonally during the Sunday School hour. No ringing experience is necessary, but some musical background is helpful. The director is Linda Hoffman.
Children’s Church takes place during our 10:45 contemporary worship service. This service includes family worship, followed by children being dismissed to Children’s Church. Children’s Church is for all children aged 4 years old thru 5th grade.
There are two age-based groups and they are both studying ‘The Life of Jesus’. Digging Into the Life of Jesus leads children in walking in Jesus’ footsteps from birth to resurrection to ascension. Children don’t just learn about the historical Jesus; they get to know him personally. They’ll discover that Jesus is a real person—a real friend—who makes a difference in their lives today.
Our Preschool and Kindergarten children meet in room 22. (front hallway) Our 1st thru 5th grade children meet in room 51 . (back hallway) All children go home with a Take-Home paper that explains the week’s lesson, gives important church announcements, and gives ideas on how to further disciple your child(ren) at home. We encourage you to use this tool to help your child connect the weekly teaching to life at home.
During 8:15 and 10:45 worship, qualified adults and youth helpers lovingly care for children under age four in Rooms 14 & 15. A TV monitor is available for viewing the service, for any adults who wish to stay with their child. A toddler bathroom and changing station are also available in our nursery.
Infant & Caregiver Nursery
An infant and caregiver nursery is provided in Room 16 at all times for infants under age 1, with a responsible adult. A TV monitor is available for viewing the services. A changing station, glider chairs, infant toys/play mats, and a privacy screen for nursing mothers are also available. Please enjoy the comfort and privacy to care for your little one, while still being a part of worship.
