Next UMW meeting: Tuesday, June 18, 2 PM
Please come to room 41 to hear Jean Hampton’s program “Women Raising up for Human Dignity,” based on a story in 2 Samuel. She will also talk about a little-known woman named Rizpah. Don’t miss this informative program. Eileen Cramer will read from the Prayer Calendar and Anne Benner has the Response Minute.
We are taking a break for summer. There will no meeting for July and August.
Save The Date: The annual UMW Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 9.

Doing some spring cleaning? Bring in your books!
It’s spring now, but we’re looking toward fall: The Faith Church annual Book and Puzzle Sale to support the FaithCentre Food Bank will return in November 2019, and once again, the sale will be held at the same time as the UMW Holiday Bazaar. If you’re doing some spring cleaning and looking for a place to donate books or puzzles, bring them to Faith Church. We’ll accept most any book or puzzle, with a few exceptions. Please do not bring us
- encyclopedias or dictionaries*
- condensed Readers Digest books* (EXCEPT: we DO accept large-print Reader’s Digest condensed books)
- textbooks or class books over five years old* (UNLESS it’s an antique–more than 50 years old)
- smelly books, books with torn covers or missing covers, or books that have been scribbled in
Not sure? Contact Dick Snyder at email@example.com to answer your questions about your potential donation or any questions about the book and puzzle sale. *Please note: Sowing Seeds in Belize IS collecting books marked with an asterisk (*) for their container project this summer to be shared with our neighbors in Belize. Check out this page for more information!
Books for the Faith Church fall sale can be brought to the church building now; there are boxes marked for these donations at the sanctuary and office entrances. (NOTE: We are NOT accepting book donations for the SSIB container project just yet; please don’t bring those in to the church until we announce we’re ready for them. More info coming soon!)
Got a LOT of books to donate? We’re glad to make arrangements to come pick up larger quantities of books at your house! Just contact Dick at the email above to set up a time.
Get your spring cleaning done now, donate your books and puzzles, and don’t forget to mark your calendars for the UMW Holiday Bazaar and Faith Church Book and Puzzle Sale, Saturday, November 9, 2019.
