Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 13 for our third annual Helping Hands luncheon and silent auction!
This popular event features donated items or services from people like you and other members of the Faith family and friends. We’d love you to come, eat, enjoy the company of friends and delicious food and bid on fantastic items that are provided by our talented congregation. Scroll down to learn more!
Eat good food and enjoy great company
The luncheon is a great time for you and your family to have lunch on Sunday and connect with other Faith family and friends (especially those folks that go to a different service than you do).
All the food is homemade and is delicious. Dinner will feature pulled pork, fresh vegetables, salads, homemade desserts and more. There’s no set cost for the dinner, but we do ask for donations at the door.
We’ll have RSVPs available in the early fall, and tickets will be available at the door too. Remember, every dollar goes to help others, so even if you don’t bid on anything, you’ll be supporting Faith missions in Bellefonte and beyond.
Bid early and often to get your prize
The lunch and auction begin at noon. Bid early and often for your favorites–bidding will close at 1:30 PM and winning bids will be announced shortly afterward. There will be a wide assortment of amazing goodies, handcrafted items, and gifts of time and service for you to bid on.
Every auction item is donated, so every dollar you give for a winning bid helps families in Bellefonte, Belleville, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Belize, Venezuela, Sierra Leone and everywhere in between.
AND: Many of the items available for bidding make GREAT Christmas gifts!
We need YOUR talents and gifts for the auction
What’s your special gift? Baking? Donate a basket of baked goods and watch people bid on your goodies!
Woodworking? Hand-crafted items sell like hotcakes at our auction.
Do you knit or crochet? Bidders will choose your item to make a special Christmas gift.
Do you have skills like photography, house cleaning, lawn care or snow shoveling? People LOVE to purchase these at our auction for themselves or as a gift for someone else.
Are you a student? Offer your services to help teach someone how to use a social media channel, or set up Skype, or how to use a mobile device or Kindle. Your digital knowledge is very valuable for people who want to use computers or digital devices but need help getting started.
Start thinking NOW about what you might offer to help raise money for our missions work.
Why attend this event?
Remember: ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the proceeds from this event benefit the Missions team’s efforts at Faith Church. This includes enabling trips to help others in need of disaster recovery, home repairs, agri-business education, scholarships, basic needs like shelter, clothing, clean water and so much more. Our missions team members share their time and skills and the love of Jesus–come help them represent us and Christ in our community and world.
