Walking into a church can feel like a big step—especially when everything is new. Our Hospitality Team helps make that step a little easier by offering a warm welcome, a helpful hand, and a friendly face from the moment someone arrives.
The First Few Minutes Matter
Before the music begins or the message is shared, people are already experiencing Faith Church. They are finding the right door, wondering where to sit, looking for a bulletin, trying to figure out where their kids go, or simply hoping someone will notice that they are there. That is where our Hospitality Team comes in.
These volunteers help create a welcoming Sunday morning environment where longtime members, returning guests, and people walking through our doors for the very first time can feel comfortable and cared for.
What the Hospitality Team Does
There are several ways to serve on Sunday mornings, and each one plays a part in creating a welcoming experience.
Welcome at the Doors
Be one of the first friendly faces people encounter by opening doors, greeting people as they arrive, and helping set the tone for the morning.
Bulletins & Information
Provide worship bulletins and help people find the information they need as they enter.
Seating & Worship Support
Help people find available seats, assist when the sanctuary becomes busy, and help things move smoothly before and during worship.
New Here Table
Pay special attention to people who may be visiting for the first time. Answer questions, help them find their way around, and make an unfamiliar place feel a little more familiar.
Every role is different, but they all share the same goal: helping people feel seen, welcomed, and ready to worship.
You do not need to know everyone in the church or be the most outgoing person in the room to be part of the Hospitality Team. You simply need to care about people. Some volunteers love starting conversations. Others are great at noticing when someone needs directions, holding a door, handing out a bulletin, or quietly helping behind the scenes. There is room for different personalities and gifts on this team.
